Analyst is a customizable After Effects project featuring a set of 7 types of professionally designed
graphs that can be used for any project that features data and
statistics: corporate presentations, annual reports, survey reports,
infographics, educational videos, visualizations, HUDs and more.

Understanding Analyst
Project Structure
There are four types of “primary” compositions in Analyst:
Graph compositions contain the core graph. We avoided the excessive use of precomps in Graph compositions so that itʼs easier for you to duplicate them and create
new graphs. In Graph compositions you can:
- Set your own data values
- Change the appearance setting
- Change the color preset
- Change the labels (applies in Bar Graph and Line Graph only)
Chart compositions are used to present the above mentioned graphs. In Chart
compositions you can:
- Change the title of the chart
- Change the layout of the chart (manually)
Legend compositions are only used for Concentric Circles and Ring charts. They
grab data values from their respective graph compositions and display them in a
legend box.
Preset compositions are color palettes that are used to color a graphʼs elements.
For instructions on how to create and use your own presets, see Creating your own
color preset.
Statistics & Settings
Each graph composition contains two yellow null layers: Statistics and Settings.
Thatʼs where youʼll be setting your own values and changing the appearance of the
corresponding graph.
If you find yourself lost in any of the compositions, feel free to send us a message
through our Videohive page or add a comment to the item in Videohive.

Exporting editable charts or graphs to other projects
You can export individual editable charts or graphs to other After Effects projects by reducing the
project so that it contains only the elements you want to export, then saving the reduced project,
and importing it in the project of your choice. To avoid reducing and overwriting the whole
project by mistake, make sure you have a backup of the whole project somewhere safe
before you proceed.
1. Go to File > Save as...
2. Enter a name for the elements you want to export (for example BarGraphs.aep)
3. In the Project Window, select the charts or graphs you want to transfer
4. Go to File > Reduce Project
5. Open the project where you want to paste the charts or graphs
6. Go to File > Import > File
7. Select file you saved in step 2
Creating dynamic transitions between graphs
1. Open the Graph composition you want to edit
2. Select the Statistics layer
3. Go to the frame where you want the transition to begin
2. In the Effects Window, click the stop watch button next to the sliders you want to animate
3. Go to the frame where you want the transition to finish
4. In the Effects Window, set the new values for the sliders youʼre animating
5. Press U on your keyboard and select all the generated keyframes
6. Right-click on one of the keyframes, and click on Keyframe Assistant > Easy Ease
7. Repeat steps 2 to 6 for the Settings layer if you want to animate appearance settings as well
