Eclipse

A stunning solar eclipse in full HD for you to use as your opening and/or closing sequence.

Insert your own text or logo, change the font, the colours, sizes and speeds of everything!

The aura animation in the background is a seamless 16-sec loop.

A) Content

This is probably the most important element for you. This is where you place your logo and/or text.

1) In the project panel double-click to open the Content pre-comp. You will see I have placed guides to denote the optimum area and space to use.

2) Either type your text here, change the font, the colour, add a drop shadow or other text effect or drop in your logo as, for example, a .psd with transparent background. The font I have used is free from http://www.fontspace.com/roger-white/newtown

Return to the Main Comp. Twiddle down the Content layer or use the Effects Controls panel and you can adjust the 3D tumble, the amount of Glow and the position that your logo flies from and to.

That's it! Render and you're done - unless you want to change the other layers:

B) Flare

1) In the project panel double-click to open the Flare pre-comp.

2) Twiddle down the Flare layer to adjust Lens Flare settings such as Brightness; the amount of Radial (zoom) Blur and the Colour Offset of the flare itself. You can, although I don't recommend it, adjust the mask around the outside of the flare. It is there to perfect the way the flare grows in the Main timeline.

Any colour changes you make to the flare, you may also want to apply similar to the background aura, details below, to give your sequence an overall colour makeover.

Return to the Main Comp to check your changes in situ.

Twiddle down the Flare layer to adjust the speed at which the flare grows.

C) Moon and Sun layers

Twiddle down each layer to adjust Lens Blur levels (which is used to soften the edges) and the glow around the Sun - and, if you want, the positions of the planets and the speed at which they move apart.

D) Aura

1) In the project panel double-click to open the Aura pre-comp.

2) Twiddle down the Aura Background layer or use the Effects Controls panel and you can adjust the Fractal Noise (the movement of the light rays, in effect); the amount of Radial (zoom) blur and the Hue/Saturation > Colorize Hue to achieve the colour you want. You can also increase and decrease the saturation level, if you want a stronger or weaker overall colour.

Return to the Main Comp to check your changes in situ.

Twiddle down the Aura layer to adjust the speed at which the aura appears at the beginning of the sequence.

Tip: The aura animation is a seamless 16-sec loop so you could use it in its own right as the background for other parts of your project to tie in with this opening and or closing sequence.

E) Stars

Twiddle down the Stars layer to adjust the Star Burst settings, for example if you want your starfield moving faster or in the other direction.

That's it! Hope you like it! And rate it :)

And don't hesitate to message me directly if you need any other help.
